You can overclock it. If you're the guy who asked about Z2 vs LeMax, I'd go with the Z2. The Mi5 is a good option, but costs 150% more. Since I'm a gipsy, I can't pay 50% more for a phone with similar hardware - it's up to you though. The Mi5 should have a better and bigger community. I'm not that guy, but I'm sort of set with the LeMax myself. The performace seems to be a tiny bit better on it, as far as I've seen on reviews. Plus I kind of want VR silliness, and the screen size and ppi are on a different level.

You want bearings that are 1/4 x 1/2 x 3/16 inch for R188 spinners. Those ones you linked are fine.

Open bearings are fine, only downside is dirt can get into the races easier. I bought 10 shielded ones from eBay which were oiled for like 10$ but they still do the job. I actually prefer oiled sometimes as the spinner feel more solid and less rattly.

Heavier weight around the bearing = longer spintime. Brass or Copper weights are good, but it's difficult to find a seller who sells brass weights. Chinks use 608 skate bearings in the very cheap spinners. You can buy cheap bearings from GearBest: http://www.gearbest.com/novelty-toys/pp_615865.html or bulk buy from Ali: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100bb/32741618685.html.

For cleaning, there's a few guides on YouTube. But be careful with chink bearings as they're not high quality and can rust. I suggest soaking the bearings in >90% alcohol, spin it both ways a few times, put it back in the alcohol, repeat if needed.

You can use also dish soap and water if you want, but make sure to thoroughly dry the bearings as soon as you take them out of the water. A hairdryer is pretty good, just heat them up for a couple of minutes then leave them to cool down. Just make sure no water is still in the bearing or it will be fucked.

General rule of thumb:

Steel Bearings: Cheap, short spin time, Very loud

Hybrid Ceramic (Steel races + Silicon Nitride balls): bit more expensive than steel, Long spin time, Quieter than steel

Full Ceramic: Expensive, Reasonable spin time, Quiet, Easier to clean (no chance of rust)

Hybrids are the best balance of noise and speed. Ceramics are easier to clean and quieter but not much difference in spin times to steel.
