Put a shortcut to pornhub on his desktop and rename it "School_app"

get him bittorrent and teach him to recognize good torrents from bad. I remember downloading some stupid shit on limewire when I was younger. inevitably he's gonna start pirating stuff so best start him on the right path.
what kind of classes does he take? that might help narrow down other types of software

Yeah the torrent setup will be pretty good. His internet is literally aids tier tho so I'll just get him to ask me for movies and shit.

Also not too sure what classes he does, normal school stuff? I don't think he will need any specific software other than ms office

Considered a chromebook for him? They have longer battery life and are really easy to use. A lot less bloat than Windows. Plus you can run a bunch of android apps on them. For $300 you can probably get a lot more out of a chromebook than a windows laptop.

Only downside I've had is you can only cloud connect to printers since the developers didn't want to deal with drivers. My printer is ancient and only uses cables, so I have to switch to my regular computer for that. Of course that's easy because with a cb you use google drive for everything.
