I'm going to Japan this summer and planning to go akihabara to look for some PC parts. Any recommendations on where to go?
What are you looking for?
Most computer parts are overpriced compared to the US, if you're coming from there. Hell, I brought my desktop in my suitcase when I came (sans case).
Mechanical keyboards might be a bit cheaper, and you can probably pick up some junk laptops, cables, etc... for cheap, but otherwise you're better off buying shit back home.

Why? No.
Go buy some interesting consumer electronics gadgets instead.

Go to Shenzen if you're serious. Go to Akihabara if you're a weaboo.

Everywhere is more expensive than the US, unless they are Chinese branded parts (Chinese branded, not just made in China).

Look for Tsukumo outlets, they have interesting things out for display, like a shelf full of heatsinks and fans not sitting in their boxes, so you can actually see and touch them.
go to Yodobashi and buy a pair of STAX

Been there a month ago
Everything costs way too much mostly because japan has higher income and living costs, I've been in computer shops but it's not much different than amazon, they do look cool to go through though.
There's a huge used parts market and you can find used stuff just about anywhere, there's lots of shops but you can see everything in pretty much 2/3 days.
Some shops have some neat things but still they're too expensive if you don't have a japanese income
