I'm looking to cool my macbook.
I was thinking of just getting some copper sheet metal and putting on my table for it to sit on.
Would this work?

lol i suppose that would get pretty messy. I was thinking the specific heat of the copper would be enough to move the heat away. Are there any solid state cooling pads you guise recommend?

considering the entire body is designed to be the heatsink for some reason, youre best off getting a proper laptop cooling pad with fans on it

putting a copper sheet under it will do nothing, not enough direct contact
theres a reason why we still use thermal paste between two seemingly perfectly smooth metal surfaces
