Hi /g/
I'm a Macfag, but I like PCs so if you guys help me I will dump my Mac. It's just taking so long to set this system up to the perfect level.
I have a mATX Phanteks Evolv case.
There are 2x980Tis inside (EVGA Hybrids) and the Rads are mounted on the top. The top of the case gets REALLY hot but the GPU/CPU/System stays fairly cool since the top rad fans are set as exhaust.
If I take the top off of the case (which removes the A E S T H E T I C) it stays cool at the top. I assume it's just there's not enough holes on the top panel for exhaust.
The overall question is:
EVGA has a 1080Ti Hybrid coming in, and if I get rid of the 2x980Tis, will this single 250watt GPU help with this issue? Since Maxwell runs hotter than Pascal, and these GPUs I have are really old...but if they're the same wattage, it may run at the same heat level? (Sorry I'm a Macfag pleb)

Calm your tits anon. I'm not a gaymur, this is a workstation for 3d rendering. (actual work).
if you don't have an irrational fear of meme websites, reddit.com/r/buildapc could help you out
otherwise, /pcbg/ probably knows what's up. worst case, go to /sqt/ or /wsr/ (the board) and they might help

i'm sure the fine folks at reddit will be happy to help :~)
