>use a trackball mouse for almost a year
>left click button starts double-clicking
>switch to a regular non-trackball mouse until I fix my trackball mouse
>hand gets tired after a few minutes of use, and I'm not as precise in using it as before
>tfw the relief I get when I can use my trackball mouse again

Why haven't you switched to a trackball mouse?
>>
Because I don't need a mouse to use my computer
>>

Just use a MarbleMouse.
>>
probably will next time I break my mouse

is there any downside to trackball at all
>>
>>60191484
It takes a while to get used to.
Also I don't know about gaming.
>>
Thumb trackballs are shit tier. Fingers allow for rotation between them to reduce fatigue. Trackball Explorer or go home.
>>
>>60192312
Thumb trackballs are the only ones that provide easy middle click.
I don't want to spend hours tweaking my .xinputrc to end up with something that sometimes works but is a pain to use in everyday's situation.

If you know any trackballs where the ball is not under the thumb AND have an easy access to a middle click I might be interested (the one with 4 buttons around a big central ball where I'd have to remap one to be the middle button does not looks comfy enough)
>>
>>60191444
Because I'm not a limp wristed faggot who's hand hurts from using a mouse.
>>
>>60192643
Nope. My kensington slimblade has four equally sized buttons, one of which is a middle click.
Literally no configuration, and the middle click is just as easy as my left click.
>>
>>60192643
Also my slimblade is actually really comfy. Built-in palmrest is 10/10

But I do use a trackball op, and you're so right. I love my m570.
>>60191835
I have done some gaming with my m570 and aiming works just fine and is actually nicer in that you don't have to pick up the mouse or have 8000000 DPI to turn 360 degrees.

Quality product right there. :)

I love this configuration of the MS trackball. Fingers can roll around the ball. thumb on the roller and to click M1 and M2.

About the only thing Microsoft ever put its name on that I find useful.
