Go on Newegg and do a power search on notebooks. Plug in all of your required specs (such as screen size and RAM) and then check all the boxes for discrete GPUs. See what comes up on a price sort.

Or maybe just do what I do and play FTL on a netbook when traveling. Keep it simple.

Obviously, I'm not looking to run anything made in the last few years at max settings, but in the research I'm doing, some of the lower end laptops and netbooks I'm looking at apparently have trouble running something like WoW or even Age of Empires II at a decent framerate, and those are games from 13 and 19 years ago, respectively.

Like I explained a few times already, I don't expect to play anything current or demanding. I already have a gaming PC, and I'm not going to be replacing it. I wanted to play something in my downtime; I have Red Faction: Guerrilla and Underrail in my backlog. Could a $400 laptop play those?
