I am using firefox 50.0.1 and there's new firefox version out, is there ANY reason to update. Will I be missing out on features or functionality if I don't or do update? I've heard people complain about the direction of Firefox is going but why don't they just simply don't update?
I don't know. Read these and decide for yourself.

At least use an ESR version that gets security fixes or some meme fork like Palemoon that attempts to keep up with new features.

Refusing updates is always the wrong choice. Securite patches do matter.
