Is it even worth using a framework for a small web app in PHP (solo college project) that would help managing a mock reservation business? Or are frameworks usually used for much bigger/enterprise-level apps?
write it in rust
Like let's say I have to do a simple login/registration form in PHP/MySQL, how would any of the available frameworks speed up the process?

But two thirds of the web is run through it

I see, I'll look into it more, everyone's praising Laravel and Symfony but from what I read CodeIgniter is more beginner friendly and is better for smaller/personal projects, any idea if that's bollocks?

PHP has a very clear use case. It's not a multi purpose language. Frame works are made to turn multi purpose languages into single purpose environments. They're supposed to remove complexity and introduce ease-of-use. Think about it.

Yeah I get that, but frameworks also claim to make the process faster, with some pre-generated stuff and such.
