Why don't I hear about this more? Seems like a Lisper's dream.

Because no one on this board cares about technology, samefag. This is the consumerism board :^)
I stopped visiting /g/ and now I just post on HN. Seems like more and more of /g/ is on HN these days since 4chan grew up and left home.
re: Guix SD: I tried liking NixOS, but found the config language difficult, and the base system somewhat buggy. Maybe I should give GuixSD a shot?

This is okay I guess. Seems like Systemd has more out of the box, but there's always those systemd haters everywhere
> The Shepherd is alpha and designed for HURD
Okay but like. This is why I stay away from stuff run by the FSF: the primary objective is always "libre", with usefulness and user-friendlyness lower priorities.

Funny, I've been moving to HN lately too. And what attracts me to GuixSD is the Guile Scheme implementation. I don't know how big of an advantage it'd really be, but I like to imagine it as EmacsOS

I gave up on HN and moved back to /g/. I like to read dissenting views that I don't necessarily agree with but at HN that doesn't really work out. It's just a big hive mind. Unless it changed in the last year or so.
