So my zenfone 2 finally died and I'm looking at two potential replacements.

Ich bought a Note 4 901F for live 70 € tat was hardbricked. Ive managed to flash it to rom and basically debrick it.

Still the stock system feels somehow unstable, i habe to wait like 10min after a reboot for the cpu to calm down because its doing something that makes the phone unuseable for the time. Also sometimes random freezes on tab switches and ive had 2 reboots when i was opening an app.

Had a Zenfone 2. Terrible phone, I couldn't believe the sheer amount of bloatware that was on the phone. You can unlock the bootloader and flash Lineage, but this voids your warranty which you might need since there is an issue where the phone will completely die after being plugged into a computer. There were some issues with app compatibility with the Intel processor, but most apps did work.

Sold it to a guy who apparently doesn't mind bloatware, he likes it.

OP3T will probably have the best custom software support, but Sony would probably support their phone with official updates for longer. Sony also has DRM issues that reduce camera effectiveness when unlocking the bootloader. Samsung has the worst software and likely no custom ROM support.

I bought my galaxy s3 in december 2012. I used it for 2 years and since then it's been kicked around in boxes or pulled out every once in a while for the camera, etc.

There is not a single scratch on the screen.

I bought a used lg g3 and I took the screen protector off of it 2 weeks ago, at which point it was immaculate. Now, it's all scratched up and I just don't understand.

I saw some videos reviewing the new galaxy s8 and a few people said the screen scratches easily. 5 years ago, when someone was making a review video for a new phone, they'd take their keys and scrape the fuck out of the screen and then hold it up to the camera and be like "yup, no scratches, on par with every other phone"

Just got the Nougat update on my S6, but for whatever the smallest resolution for my rear camera is now 6.0M. I'm pretty sure it used to be 2.4M. I always used a way smaller resolution as I always take many photos and that's eating up too much space.

If you're on a 3g plan your phone won't even connect to 4g. But yes you can choose "preferred network type" in the settings and if you choose 3g your phone wouldn't connect to 4g even if your data plan had it.
