What's an alternative to this?
I host movie nights with a group of people that either have content from a variety of sites or streamed from my computer.
Rabb.it was nearly perfect but several people tell me they have problems with it and really want another alternative.
Using OBS to stream to mainstream sites like YouTube, Hitbox, or Twitch just have my channel get automatically taken down by moderators/content ID mid-movie all the time.
I can't find a solution, any suggestions?
huh, someone else with the same dilema as me.
If you're looking for free in price, rabbit's all there is. It sucks but obviously nobody wants to restream your shit for free.
I'm looking into CyTube right now. Some others there have gotten google drive to host the movie but it requires everyone install userscripts and shit.
Been looking into CyTube recently which has support for RTMP streams. Perhaps one could run OBS to stream your Plex/Emby session to a VPS, which then would be synced via CyTube? My movie night ranges from 5 to 15 people so VPS bandwith might get expensive with a setup like this.

A lot of people stream live sports on youtube, dailymotion etc. As long as it's a private link & none of your viewers leak it publicly I think it would be fine
nginx-rtmp + hls + video.js + obs

Cytube supports raw mp4 or webms, works with most uploaders.

Nah, I got content ID blocked mid-movie, where youtube auto-detects the copyrighted content and blocks it accordingly. I don't know how those people get away with it.

this is expensive as fuck if you have any viewers
Syncplay.pl if you can get everyone to install software on their devices.
