Just smoked a bud of Casey Jones from the black pipe. I've fitted it with a screen to keep it clean, but it can be used without. I got a USB-C cable from Ugreen.
Apparently they got a warehouse in Sweden, so it only took a couple of days to arrive, which is great.
I also got a velco strap with it.

It's not the absolute cheapest cable, but it seems to be plenty good quality. 10/10 would buy again.

The quality is super good. This thing deserves 11/10 score. Best chink product I've ever seen. The cable is fully braided with the same material that of the zircons but is slightly thicker. The jack is fucking rugged as fuck. The splitter has a nice brushed finish. Totally recommend for listening music with your oneitis is you don't like sharing earphones.

I bought a cheap Doogee to test things and ran it a bit as a daily driver. I know cheap phones give a bad experience (and I had a few different ones) but holy shit I've never owned such a massive piece of crap. After a couple months something got corrupt in the filesystem or the hardware itself broke.

Apps would just stop working altogether even when reinstalling, core Android processes would start crashing one day and never stop after that. Doing complete factory resets would fix the problems for a couple weeks until it started again. Even completely flashing the phone with other Roms (and I'm speaking even changing the godamn bootloader) would bring the same problem up again.

For people asking about VR glasses, there is
BoboVR Z4 - $30, has unremovable headphones
BOBOVR Z4 Mini - $20, has no headphones
Fiit VR 2S - $20,

I have the FiitVR. It has interpupillary distance adjustment and you can adjust the focus each lens by turning it which helps if youre farsighted. Its also wide and the padding allows it to be worn with glasses. It fits phones up to 6 inches, but with my S7 edge I can see the home button in my periphery with the image ruining small phone filter removed, so I wouldnt recommend this to manlet phone users. The FiitVR 2S also doesnt have the magic cardboard button, which I think the Bobo VR has. It usually comes with a very shitty bluetooth remote instead but that doesnt work well for most cardboard apps. You could hold a magnet up to your head and tap it instead but for me it was hit and miss. It also really fogs up if you jerk off in it.

Advantages of either of these chink headsets over GearVR is that you can still use USB out of the phone for wired controllers or connecting it by USB to a PC for SteamVR. The distortion effect to actually make it look real is much better on the GearVR.
