I'm moving from the US to Europe and I want to take the computer I built along. I've exhausted all of my resources and I can't seem to find a straight answer. The country I'm going to supports a voltage of 220-240V, and my PSU has a switch on the back to change voltages. Now I have the US cable, but I don't have an EU cable to plug in. Will using a socket adapter work, or should I keep looking to find an EU cable for my PSU?
Just get a new cable it is stupid cheap and easy to find
And yes it will work

Yes.
A thread died for this. Next time go to >>>/sqt/. Thanks.

Just buy a 3m IEC - schuko(euplug) cable. It'll cost you 2e

Too bad a thread about ayymd vs jewtel died for an actually technology related thread. Not OP btw.

I have a Thermaltake tr2 600w (not the bronze) and I read it has active PFC. I just wanted to make sure before I fried any of my components. I'll keep looking for a european cable, thanks!

That scene looks so comfy. Where can I find a cabin like that for the winter?

Finland!

I may move to Finland eventually as I am a dual citizen. But the pay for engineers is better in burgerland.

>schuko
You know, not everyone in Europe uses Schuko. The french-style plug with ground pin is de facto standard in several countries (France, Czech rep., ...).
Luckily, there are cables that support both - pic related.
