I've tried various VPN from NordVPN to PIA. Honestly they suck in terms of customer service and the program itself. If you lurk around here a bit more you might find a decent one, but mostly there are shills (like some VPN services trying to advertise on /t/). I went with the simple Amazon service since I only use Skype. Works good and it's free.

Unpaid? Most likely all scams, bandwidth is never free, they're getting their money /somehow/

Ausfag here, been with nord nearly 3 years. Performance on their Aus servers is pretty variable. Their apps across all platforms have improved a lot but I still tend to use an open source client any way. Customer service used to be better when they have live chat but pretty sure that's gone now. That said, it does as advertised and as long as you have some variant of nbn you'll be right.
