If so, put a hub inbetween rest of network and phone at the marked spot and connect a laptop (linux preferably, windows sends too much crap out) with an unconfigured interface to the hub. Then run wireshark from the laptop.

You start wireshark and pit the device IP in as the target. If you don't know the device IP look it up in your router. Or else look for network options in the phones menu.
