If you used overkill specs for games i.e. a processor with allot of cores, you'd have an easier time running/using CAD, rendering and art programs.

if you liked the process of getting to the point of playing your video games but not actually playing the video games then just make it more difficult to play your video games

Gaming PC is a meme. All the good games are playable without "gaming pc" level specs. I'll probably be playing Starcraft remastered on my macbook even.

Make video games instead. Unity is pretty easy to learn if you can code.
