As promised, today's Crackme Sunday.
Backstory: Your dad bought Wiener Dog Simulator 2. However, the license key he was given (ABCDE-FGHIJ-KLMNO-PQRST-UVWXY) does not work. You're not very surprised, looking at how well-made the cover is and how obviously fake the key is. Nonetheless, you feel like helping your dad stroke his (virtual) wiener.
For whatever godforsaken reason, they left "second.exe" in the distribution that does nothing but verify a key. It seems to be a command line application.
Binary: https://transfer.sh/RhGsJ/second.exe
Difficulty: trivial. This is designed for people new to reverse engineering. Please don't just guess keys.
Note that this is my first time writing for Windows. I may have made some rookie mistakes that makes the file look suspicious, but hell if I know how to fix them in Visual C++ 2010, but please point them out regardless so I can try.
Code next Sunday on github.

/g/ thinks my PGP signature is spam, so I put it up here: https://github.com/sympt0m/verification
The commit is signed, as you can verify through github's interface.

w-where can I buy that game?

Dumb question, but am I expected to work out a valid key or is it acceptable to just
NOP the jump at 004011AD
and call it a day?
not even worth the time

You like playing with wieners, anon?

faggot op it doesnt work
>>60028602
You're expected to work out a valid key unless you don't care if your dad won't get any updates for the program.
>>60028651
Wait a sec, that's the wrong build. There shouldn't be C++ shit in there (yet). Optimization is already off.

Why are you opening an exe file with an archive manager?
