Your ingame name, steam id and/or strea, friends as well as searching for either of these can expose your real information if you put it somewhere. Since he already found it out, it's somewhere publicly.

There used to a exploit early on in csgo's lifecycle that allowed you to get the IP's of people connected to the same server as you, but that has been fixed since 3+ years.

They ruined literally everything. They shit on the community with matchmaking, which led to a substantial decline in custom dedicated servers. They released built-in mod game modes, which caused a decline in the vast modding and mapping community. They ruined the game modes on top of it forcing CoD-esque spawning in DM, 15 player teams in casual, forcing anyone who wants smaller teams into a dead game mode.
