M8 even tho I just bought an S8 Plus myself (previous phone was a Note 4), I wouldn't suggest upgrading from an S7. My Note was faulty and only worked on some obscure rom duo to mainboard issues and that was giving me lots of trouble. Bluetooth and headphone jack issues also made the choice of upgrading easier.

However, If I wouldn't have these troubles, I surely wouldn't have felt the need to upgrade. Considering The S7 is still such a solid device, that S8 look is really gotta be worth them 700 bucks to you.

The screen is nice.
Minor improvements in performance and the battery life definitely hasn't gotten better. Fingerprint reader sucks especially if you're a manlet/handlet.
tl;dr it's never worth it to buy a new phone as long as your old one works. if you really want to be the nigger with the latest phones and don't regret wasting money - go for it.

There is no such thing as touchjizz anymore, m8. Samsung abandoned that shit with the s7 and the s8 got an even newer UI called grace ux or some shit. Point is, it's really not that bad anymore and I came from stock before that.

Battery is utter shit. Used it for 30 mins. Just checking the phone out and light browsing. Battery went off 20% in 30 mins. I can answer any other questions if you want

Have you actually turned off any of that shit that runs in the background? I've disabled most samshit and carrier shit and my standby time improved drastically. Speaking about the S8 plus tho.

the s8 is a lot more manlet friendly than the s7e. it's a good bit thinner in width. with the s7e, my knuckles dont bend around the edge with s8, and s8+ (same width just taller) you can comfortably grip the phone all the way around.

battery life is worse though since a smaller battery than s7e.

I haven't had any issues yet. No lag. The fingerprint scanner is easy to get used to. Muscle memory takes over and you can easily avoid the camera lens.

I can see the battery becoming an issue. Mine dropped %40 from only two hours of soft usage. What makes it even worse is that my last phone was the droid turbo, and as you know that phone would not die.
