Will they ever make better editor? (only editors released after 2000)
It's a good editor, I concede. At the same time, I will not have my fundamental freedoms stepped on by using it.

Convince me to switch from Atom.
>>59998556

Aything wrong with notepad++?
>>59998752
Obviously, I have that's why I'm not using it anymore retard. I'm not going to document every little thing wrong with every software I use especially if it's a known problem lmao
Sublime Text 3 is the only text editor that can be activated with CIA Nigger's license.

sjws
Vim 8 was released 7 months ago, Sublime hasn't had a stable release in almost 4 years :^).
Literally fuck editor that doesnt allow you to use mouse as well if user needs it. When I need some quick editing that I noticed I will be 1000 times faster with just clicking on the spot i need to edit than hunting it with keyboard. This goes for everybody. Mouse is god-tier helper tool.
Nobody is programming by constantly typing shit without pause for thinking and editing. Get real kids.
>>59998322
>Not open source
>>59999117
I need multi-column editing and selection substitution with result from a command%!command
>>59998778
got any sauce mate?
Non-free
Still doesn't come close to the feature-set of Emacs or simplicity of vim.
>>59999846
my fav memes
who still /textmate/ here

>>59999117

>random frame drops cuz it randomly decided to start indexing or w/e

>>59998322
>Will they ever make better editor?
Yes

>$70
I'd rather buy IntelliJ and get a full fledged IDE.
>>60000339
>paying
what the fuck are you even doing on 4chan mactoddler
>>60000066
and you select all 23 of them with your mouse?
>>59998322
Agreed OP. Still the best editor on the 4/20/2017 +1. Performance wise and usability wise.
Let the attention deficit disorder kids play with Atom and VSCode.
>>60000479
Spotted the NEET child. How's the fizzbuzz project going?
>>59998322
No real programmer who understands what a program does would use a proprietary editor.
>>59998322
>not knowing sublime text inserts secret binary markers into your files so that the NSA can track all code written in it
>>60000540
Sublime is better than either of them, but to be fair to VS Code, it is miles ahead of Atom in everything, except for extension count.
>>59998322
And it's not communist. I know that by paying for the software I help motivate the developers to maintain it.
>>59998540
>fundamental freedoms stepped on by using it.
I seriously hope you are not using that atom shit made in web meme technologies and complaining about freedums here.
>>60000665
keep telling that to yourself to feel like you are a "real" programmer. Fucking idiot.

>Will they ever make better editor? (only editors released after 2000)
Yeah they already did, long before the turn of the century.
Emacs or Vim, pick your poison.
>lel at captcha pic muh whiteboard terk muh jerbs
Does anyone use online editors? c9, codeanywhere, etc
>>59998322
