Is nonk overclocking on sandy bridge an actual thing?
i've got an i5 2500 and i heard that you can move the clock multiplier for +400mhz so you get 3.7ghz with 4 cores and 4ghz on 1 core.
I've been also told to set the BCLK to 105mhz

>the state of intel cucks
just buy a ryzen

Why not just buy a used 2600k or 2700k?

>Literally i5 2500k with hyperthreading
why wouldn't i just get i5 2500k/3570k once i'll be able to afford one?
>Turn off turbo mode garbage
>Set multiplier as far as you can
>Add 1mhz to BCLK
>Stress it for 10 minutes in prime95 while observing temperatures and core usage on hwmonitor/cpuz
>if it doesnt crash add next 1mhz to BCLK
>repeat until it starts to crash
>lower BCLK to the last working frequency
>leave prime95 for a hour or two to check if everything works fine
>if not lower BCLK again
>if yes you did it
Not that hard.
