To be honest I could go and buy the S8 right now. However, I am still rocking a Note 4. No custom ROM, still running Android 6.0 official ROM. The camera is good, the display is 1440p, i-it's fast! and has removable battery with quick charge 2.0.

Like, there is no reason for me to do it, really. It would just be consumerism at this point. Fuck you Samsung, stop building such good looking phones.

S8 with all the functionality running stock android with Bixby button being remapable to anything (camera, for one) would be literally perfect.

When i get my Zuk Z2(non-pro) whats the first thing i need to do? ok /spg/ i need help finding a phone (US)
i currently have straight talk but it's shit so i'm debating getting t-mobile prepaid or something in the same price range when i get my new phone
my budget is between $200 and $300 but i'd go up to $400 if its a good deal
i don't care about camera and want something in the 5"-5.3" range, but i want at least 3GB ram and 32GB storage minimum, and real/non-software buttons are preferred but not necessary
i've been looking and the honor 6x looks good but i haven't been able to find anything better and i don't know if the service will work for it, and the oneplus 3t looks too expensive and the regular oneplus 2/3 are out of stock and i'd prefer not to get another redmi because i don't like miui and am too nervous to flash a new rom onto it and risk bricking it if i fuck up

It is a real button, but you navigate with gestures (like swiping to the right from the button to go back, like the S8 does). When you don't like it you can also enable onscreen buttons which are completely optional. I wouldn't tho, cause I hate onscreen buttons as well

Just got my s8 plus, typical Verizon bloat but nothing major

(US/CAN) I'm looking for a decent phone in the $250-350 range.
I don't give a fuck about cameras, just decent speed, 4G LTE capability (my current burner only does 3g), and aesthetics.

The onyl sticking point with the Z2 is its 4g support isnt as wide, and you'll probably want to put a custom rom on it asap. If you plan on putting a custom rom on the moto G5, why not just leap-frog it and use the Z2 instead?

How do I check if my 3T is using LTE?

Should I go for the LG G6 or V20? I don't care much for the V20's dac, the second screen, the big size, the camera glass shattering, or the (supposed) burn in. On the other hand it has a removable battery. The G6 (supposedly) less burn in, better wide angle quality, and is a bit smaller and more thick. Though it has no removable battery. I'm at a complete loss, any advice from anyone?

Indeed, i got an included tempered glass on mine and it has white edges because the tempered glass was not curved on the edge, not as horrible as the ones i see with almost 1cm of white edge though, ive only seen 2 tempered glass on amazon so far, and with no reviews, im also reluctant. Locally i found an imak tempered glass with black top and bottom parts, not sure if ill get it, but i noticed a slight visibility of pixel grid on the glass.

Problem i am facing so far is 4G isnt getting picked up in my area(It has 2 or the 3 bands rogers uses... And both of the nationwide ones(band 4 and 7) but it only connects to 3G.

I also really dont like the rom, or zenui. I have not looked too hard for a clean/basic rom(all i want is vanilla android with the touch-button support) since i'm waiting till the weekend before i mess around with it. First step is to put TWRP and root on it.

Is there a way to unlock the phone's bootloader without a manufacturer's official tool? My LG G5 isn't supported by LG's tool, but I would still like to root my phone.

This "muh edges not comfortable" shit needs to go away. S8 is the most comfortable phone I have ever held in my hand, it feels sleek as fuck and looks like it.

The miniscule glare is not an issue at all, and the edges aren't as sharp as previously. No issues with hitting shit with my palm either.

The single worst thing about s8 is not even the fingerprint which you get used to, not even touch wizz which is still shit but better than it used to be.

It's the fucking bixby button. It's placed in such a way where I always hit it. It takes some time to load and even opens up if the phone is locked. I wish i could just pull the fucking thing out.

Where am I supposed to grab the phone if I want to take a photo? Yeah, of course, by the sides, but what if I accidentally touch the front, that may fuck something up. I want a bezel where I can place my fingers. I hate it when I need to keep by fingers off the front of the phone.

I've used different phones, the ones with either big bezels or big cases were more comfortable for me. Touch-sensitive buttons are as big a sin as no bezel, tho - those also take up grab area.

I don't demand everyone to agree with me, I'll even go as far as calling myself particularly clumsy (I wouldn't give a shit if phones were comfortable to me, but I legit can't count the times when I've missed a photo or done something else on accident due to having tiny bezel on a thing phone)

If the phone is thicc, that helps as well.

You're probably all gone by now, but...

I got mine in December and at that time the custom ROM's were all pretty crap, so I went with the Indian ROM.
It has pajeet and the English languages and at the moment it's at Android 6, with the official update (OTA even in Europe, with no VPN needed) to Nougat coming in May.

I think it had pretty much no bloatware and working google services.

The Chinese ROM is already at Nougat but I read that it doesn't support Google shit and I didn't bother with it. Also it needs VPN for updates.

Maybe I'll try Lineage OS in the future, but for now I will wait for the Indian Nougat. It should bring minor camera improvements with manual mode, better battery (with Doze and shit, but I already get two days easy with 3-4h SOT) and the ability to assign different fingerprints to different apps.
