Hey /g/, I know you aren't my personal tech support however...
I'm in some dire need of understanding and support.
See, I was on a vacation for a few months and when I came home, my computer started acting very slow. Mind you, I own a very high end rig, so this is pretty odd for it to stutter in this way.
I plugged in my External HDD to load up some files, but instead of reading it as a Removable Drive, it says it's a Local Disk. What's wierder is if I load websites like Tom's Hardware, it crashes my process. Same with Steam; download a game - it crashes.
I can't seem to access the Disk Management like others have suggested online, and I don't know if it's the computer or just the External HDD. What I'd also love to know is what even caused for this but one step at a time, right?
The picture above should give some idea as a visual to help understand. To clarify, clicking on the Local Disk will cause for the whole Explorer to crash.

Microsoft made Windows 10 purposely slower recently to get more people to install Windows 10. I suggest you install Windows 10 if you want your speed and usability back.
