Swapping laptop ram
I aquired some free laptop ram from a friend recently and I wanted to check with you guys if its safe to go straight in.
The blue one on the left is the original 2gb from my Acer Aspire 5732ZG and the one on the right is a 4gb from a samsung.
They have the same pin size and all so my real question is will the foreign ram mess up my laptop and how will I know that its working properly?

PC3 runs at 1.5V (your original ram) and PC3L runs at 1.35V. It may work but some laptops are picky so if it dosen't work, it's because of that. In any case, there is no danger in testing it, nothing will break.
Let us know how it turns out.
