What would happen if you put a CPU that isnt supported by your MB?
i currently have a 1090T in my AM3 MB
but i want to upgrade to a 8350, they chip looks like it fits in my MB but after a bit of research it said my MB wasnt supporting as i need a AM3+ MB for that chip
Sorry for asking /g/ if this question is common or uncommon im new to building PC's and know not much

AM3+ CPU have +1pin that will not be able to fit in a AM3 socket.
I remember once putting a Pentium D into a board that didn't support it but it worked anyway (was detected as 2x Pentium 4 SMP) but I guess that was a special case
It won't physically fit in the socket due to pin count.. Enjoy my crystal eye

op could just cut it off and make it fit, tho

Basically this, the pin layout is slightly different so you need the AM3+ socket in order to use the 8350. MoBos supporting AM3+ aren't super expensive, you can find most around $100.
