i installed tampermonkey and ublock here, and i am pretty happy with it
to be honest, i just use it to shitpost and check 3-4 websites, as i don't use any type of social media, or webapps

On 4chan I just click on the *.webm on the post to trigger the download prompt, then click open on that. First time you have to set the default program to open .webm with so just pick your favourite video player. If you use WMP you can just ignore the popup saying it doesn't support that file extension, they work fine.
