cannot be stopped, ignores disabling and shutdown
you wouldn't want to prevent your OS from sending your fingerprint and IR face scan to MS would you?
they can't get your biometric data if you don't give it to them. is there even some kind of a biometric device people connect to their pc?

Unlocking the laptop through fingerprint.

some laptops come with fingerprint scanners, some newer ones even with infrared face recognition. Of course you should NEVER scan your fingerprint, but I wonder if you can truly disable an IR scanner if you have one. Even if you can tape it over maybe it sees you one time and you're fucked. Or maybe even your normal webcam is used for hidden face recognition if you don't tape it off during unboxing

I think I'll pass. That's a gimmick best left to phones.

Do this and then not be able to log in using the fingerprint scanner.

can confirm this does stop the service and prevents it from restarting. you should never be using your fingerprint scanner anyways.

And I don't blame you.
