The FBI has had access to the /b/ archives for nearly a decade and if it wasn't for that, 4chan would have been down nearly a decade ago. moot openly made posts about it back when it first happened. Archived threads were accessible on /b/ even if they weren't listed anywhere public. A cp thread on /b/ will likely become archived in the same way as it used to, though I think the idiots have learned not to post cp on 4chan by now.

The public archives are now just a feature on other boards because other sites were taking away traffic.

/b/ has been fucked since 2005 consistently when FYAD hopped over from SA.
It only got worse with Forced Anonymous onwards. It turned a meme in to a fucking movement.
Every year after that was the new flavour of the year site for getting porn.
Whether it was Stickam, FTVteen or the many others.
I'll be surprised if I can even post this, the filters might not even be removed despite those sites being long dead.

Even if he only meant /b/, is 10 million a realistic estimate of the number of threads opened up to 2009?
