How many times a year do you have to lube your fans to keep them working well? i used to do it every three months but last year i've slacked off a bit because the pc vaseline my friend sold me isn't cheap, and now i'm a bit worried about the smooth air flow

My fans have been running for 5 years no issues

i have amd not geforce
I've had revoltec fans I bought in 2005 which are now running in a friend's system without an issue. I re-lubed them once with lithium/moly grease when I gave them to my friend last year.

Anon, you fucked up
I oil them when they're noisy. The ones that can't be oiled get thrown out in disgust
Once every one or two years.
Usually I do it when I do a cooling maintenance interval (un-dusting the heatsind, replacing the thermalk paste and oiling the (sleeve)bearing)
Teflon oil or mos2 oil works best.

Only when they're noisy or when my gpu/cpu starts overheating.
I've replaced my gpu fans twice (it's a GTX 560Ti) because no matter how much oil I put they eventually dried up and ordering a replacement is cheaper and more durable.

I remember when you tried to force this meme with replacing thermal paste every 3 months. Kys op
