Freedom in itself is a good enough reason. You also get better stability with distros like Debian and you have dozens of desktop environments, themes, and other adons to choose from to customize the UI to your liking. Windows just has rainmeter and other poo in loo software. Windows is also more susceptible to malware, and it stores all of the files on one partition in 1999+18. You're also still using NTFS and disk management is a fucking nightmare. You have to use the command line with diskpart or a buggy application that's slow as fuck. Also, two settings apps, ads in the OS, and forced updates. If you turn the updates off, you gimp your own security.

Pretty fuckin shit for an OS that costs $120-200, and you're paying for built in spyware/adware. Topcuck.
