well it's basically just another background service that stays on all the time so it will make your battery drain faster by nature

I use nova launcher on my shitty virgin mobile samsung phone and I never noticed a huge difference. Normal use my battery is about 30% by the time I go to sleep before and after using the launcher. I'm sure it uses more, just not enough to be noticed on my J7
