> daily "stand-up / huddle / Agile" meetings
Anyone else deal with this shit? Have to stop my work so a "team lead" (female) can feel important and micromanage everyone, Agile can die in a hole

You need to get with the ``team lead'' and find a way to make the meetings more productive. You eithe rwant the company to succeed or you just want a job to buy your stupid shit. If the later, no 1 cares what you like or dislike about a job you don't care about.

You make a good point anon. I really don't care about my giant insurance company so long as they pay me.

>micromanage everyone
if she's doing that then it's not Agile.
Stand-ups should really be
>what I did yesterday
>what I'm doing today
>do I have any blocking issues? (if so, ONLY mention to the person of interest that you will be discussing in more detail with them after the meeting)
30 seconds per person
If your team lead is dragging daily stand-ups out by trying to solution problems, I would have a frank discussion with her that this isn't the purpose of stand-ups. Don't be rude though.

If she's micromanaging she's not doing her job.
Her job is to prevent people from interferring with your job. If she needs to micromanage someone, that means :
- either the engineer is not autonomous in his job, and maybe he needs some mentoring,
- or she did not understand what being a scrum master is.
Another warning sign is if the daily takes more than 15 minutes. If you have to give status of your current task, and why you didn't complete it last day, just answer you spent all your time filling up your time in Redmine, moving tickets around and playing the crashtest dummy in stupid meetings.

>Redmine

Or Jira, or whatever rocks your boat.
I have to check in and out everytime I begin to work or make a pause.
And my checked in times must match what I enter in Redmine.

We use MS Project. It's fucking horrifyingly bad

We just started these and it's all bollocks, was in-fact my suggestion as other internal teams use them productively however my manager just uses them to feel important (female also). When suggested, I'm quite close to my manager I suggested it needs to be shit hot and quick with relevant information. What kind of team do you work in?
>>59825309
It takes ten minutes tops and you get to know what everyone is working on.
Also, how can she micromanage you when you're doing agile?

>MS Project
NOOOOOOOOOOO
