Do you only have three tabs open at a time?
Literally how, just idling on my desktop and I'm using almost 10GB. Around 4GB is my rolling backup, but even so.

Yes

How

He's running Gnome probably lmao

OP here, from what I have seen, /g/ often tends to keep 20 programs, 4 VMs and 1 brute force process to crack an AES encrypted container, most of the time
like a retarded chempanzee
. This might justify their 8 core Ryzen CPU, Titan XP and 32 GB of RAM. When I stop reading this thread , I will simply close Firefox and open whatever program I want to use next.
If you are a normal human being whose brain can't really multitask and who doesn't have a gazillion computationally-intensive tasks to perform at every single fucking moment of your life for whatever reason, then I don't see how 4 GB wouldn't suffice.
It's good for the future though, but only if you're ready to not change your computer for at least 5 years.

I hope you are getting some visitors on your server, anon.

So you can't run more than 1 program at once even on somewhat okay hardware? Lmao
>>59815710

Nice anon, submit yourself to a genetic research lab at tel aviv so we can have superhumans by 2020
My desktop has 32GB ram. Will I ever use it all? Hell no. Can I get by with less? Yes. Why'd I get 32GB? Cause it was cheap and to max out my board. Now my server on the other hand has 8GB of ram and in some situations it'll use almost all of it. But those are rare. Most time it uses under 3GB.
