Anyone have one of these? They're $40 right now and I'm considering getting one mostly for reading books and some light web browsing.
Any thoughts?
get an e-reader
I know I bought one of the 40$ nooks at barnes and noble for my dad, and it was pretty nifty. Even though I don't really have a use for it, for only 40$ I kinda wanted it. I really liked the size, too.
I don't know if this is the same or similar, but it looks pretty close.

I was looking at that one too. I'm starting to think I'll just buy used instead because an older Fire HDX 7' is about the same price but with a 1900x1200 display.

I have a Kobo but I'd like something for textbooks and PDFs. Those are shit to use on an E-Reader.
I bought 10 of them over the holidays for my friends and flashed CM13 on them. They use it as a character sheet for D&D and some light reddit shit
Don't expect a lot

This. It's the next best thing to physical books. If you prioritize practicality then it's the best way to read period.

The Fire reads pdfs a little better but its stil lfrustrating having to zoom in and out constantly for textbooks and those fucking Elsevier layouts. Also the Amazon reader is really bad and a botnet.
If you are going to use it as a tablet though then its good.
