All I want is a system where I can get good video playback and use a web browser. But somehow none of the ones I've tried so far have been able to accomplish this better than my 4 year old pirated install of Windows 7 with no updates past 2015.
Ubuntu/fedora. Install compton and use vsync if you get tearing.

Linux is for servers. Using it for web browsing or playing vids is plain stupid. Wtf are you even doing.

You tried.
just get a smarttv you fucking imbecile
use kde you poor cunt
Just installed Windows 10 LTSB.
I never imagined Windows 10 could feel this great.
Why not just install a simple out of the box distro. There are literally shitloads but to name a few: Ubuntu (and derivatives), mint, manjaro. I don't really understand how you're having so much difficulty

Try Netrunner
>falling for the xfeces meme
There is at least 1 every month
Is there a Linux distribution that has file preview so I can see what pictures/videos are in thumbnail?
I'll probably just hop on 7 for this (finally going to organize the multiple tbs of trash I've accumulated since 1998) but I can't find a way to enable it on Linux.

Any distro with KDE 5. I recommend Antergos KDE.
