You have five (5) second to prove that OOP is better than procedural or functional programming.

Protip:
 You can't!

you can do procedural style code with static classes

OOP is superior for programming any kind of business logic

More like POO! xD!!!

I'm currently integrating a jail management system to a court case management system. Without OOP, I'd have a lot more code to write. After defining the objects (ie defendant, arrest, charges) some of my functions are less than 10 lines.

Sounds incredibly interesting anon. Can you please tell me more about this system? Are you doing it for yourself or as a job?
>>

Job. Nothing terrible interesting about the system. But I'm probably jaded because I've been doing this stuff for years.

The integration just moves data from one database to the other. when someone gets arrested, that data gets sent to the courts for adjudication. After sentencing, it gets sent back so the defendant can serve their time or get sent to prison.

Why not all three?

Maybe not interesting to you but I've just begun learning so I find any and all real life applications of programming to be cool as fuck and incredibly interesting. It's more entertaining then "hello world"

I remember those times. God I miss them. Fucking project managers suck the fun out of everything.

Look for an internship. It's the best way to see real applications. Im taking on interns in the summer. They get to help with this integration.
