I want to create a cross platform app. Is QT a good choice? In the meantime I'd learn C++, which I always wanted to learn.
I'd like to dev on Linux, so Xamarin gets a pass.
React native? How's that one?
What are other choices?

Jumping straight to Qt without knowing C++ is gonna be hard. Otherwise Qt is god-tier, honestly.

A lot depends on what type of app, and what platforms. For actually delivering a GUI UNIX/Win/Mac app, I don't think you'll find better than C++/Qt. Although there are lots of tasks that don't even need a GUI, C++ & POSIX (I ignore the Win32/64 APIs now that we have the Linux subsystem) are fine for that.
I don't really know enough about iOS/Android development to contribute.

It's pretty good, just don't use javascript use Scalajs, or clojurescript or typescript.

Woops. Forgot word *mobile app*. My bad. Yeah Qt is probably the superior option for desktop. Just read a little bit more and I see that Qt is shit for mobile dev.
What about flutter?
Dont use Qt. Its Shit comes with Bugs and bad Tutorials. Cross compiling ist a pain with it.
