Has anyone here used FreedomPop for their cell service? I just bought 2 SIMs and plan on porting my current number to Google Voice and use hangouts to text and call.

Anyone???

It's okay, but don't expect perfectly stable service. You get what you pay for.

I'm paying close to nothing. I'm hoping it works well enough. It seems too good to be true.
You get free (limited/basic) service with those sims don't you?
Why don't you try and make a thread about it later.

Yes 400 calling minutes, 1000 texts, and 800 MB of data a month across 2 SIMs for 0$ a month. Using google hangouts doesn't use minutes/texts. I'm just skeptical on the service reliability.
It runs on Sprint's network with low priority. If there is congestion on a tower, you will get booted in favor of a real Sprint customer. Also be VERY careful during the sign up process. FreedomPop is the Spirit Airlines of cell carriers. They will nickel and dime you to death if you're not careful. Even turning off 'automatic top off' requires a $5 charge. If you follow all the rules and limits, it is indeed free but is designed to make it easy to accidentally go over your limits and be charged.
