>It is now a couple of years in the future
>Windows and iOS both come stock with an adblocker
>It is enabled by default, the setting hidden in menus
>Normies who can't operate an SD card will never want to or bother turning it off
>A huge percent of internet connected devices now blocking ads
What happens next?

A good chunk of the internet goes behind a paywall. That which doesn't is paid for by ads for said content, embedded so it can't be blocked.

No chance of other business models being tried in your opinion? I don't think pay walls will work well in this scenario

All those fucking "top ten" sites finally die.
Hopefully,shit like facebook dies too.

>"top ten" sites finally die
Sounds like a future to look forward to.

Bullshit, Google alone made around $50 billion last year just from ads. for every autist like you who knows how to block each request, there are thousands of normies who don't give a shit or know anything about blocking ads

What other business model?

Let's hope it stays that way. If the plebs ever catch on, they'll move on to more invasive and aggressive methods. It's concerning just how fucking hard they push ads onto us, just how effective are they, really? Feels fucking dystopian, constantly being bombarded by ads. It's insanity and everyone just accepts it like its normal to wear adverts on their clothes, have them on billboards, walls, everywhere.
