That is most likely completely unrelated to google and bing. The malware exists elsewhere and is injecting extra content into the webpages visited, and since google and bing are some of the most visited websites overall, it's only natural that the malware would target requests for those sites in particular.

The actual source of the malware is from somewhere else.

Honestly speaking, you'd be better off wiping the computers clean en masse and then use adblocking software from the start, because in the situation you're describing an adblocker wouldn't do shit.
