Kind of afraid of this might happen to me with programming. But do elaborate OP.
>>
>>59686960
at least you get a job :)
>>
Nope, I only managed 3 months of college (UK) starting programming and I found it so boring a I quit and did manual labour to get my shit together so I could do civil engineering HNC and now Architecture at Uni whilst working as a trainee Architect technician. No regrets.
>>
No, but it depends on the job.

When I was an IT intern for where my dad worked, it was so brain-numbing I would do nothing all day long, except the occasional "I can't get Word open" bullshit. I went to a MSP and have been there for a few years now because of the huge range of tech I'm able to work with, definitely keeps things interesting and fun.
>>
Exactly what job did you get? Tech support is fucking shit but programming is fun and stimulating since it essentially involves solving problems all day.

Whatever 9-5 job you get, you will dislike. Doesn't matter if it's playing video games, watching porn, etc. Keep hobbies as hobbies and not work.

Same but with art
Turns out drawing is fucking misery when you have to draw what someone else wants you to
>>
I fell into a data science job kind of accidentally after graduating. It's relatively easy and my hours are really chill, and I get a pretty competitive salary and benefits simply because this job has "data science" in the title.

> Millions of dollars from universities to do "data science"
> 95% of stuff is "clean up our data cause we don't want to and make some visualizations"
> We need le better servers to run inefficient shit code
> Majority of staffs research held together by collections of random shitty R, Python, or Java scripts students wrote

I can see why people get tired and leave, because they're constantly having to deal with horrible shit people write that they couldn't be bothered to reformat after 'it werks'
