Is SparkyLinux a good beginner's distro for those who don't want to deal with Ubuntu?
>>

Just install Manjaro
>>
install gentoo

Never heard of it. Honestly beginners should stick with the more common distros as you can get more help online and most problems are already solved and just a search away. I like fedora but Ubuntu derivatives like ubuntu mate or xububtu arent bad either.

That's one of the last things a beginner should ever use

go mint

ofc.. you know why they don't?
>unity
mint ?
>cinnamon
>mate
and ofc desktop env. can be installed what ever the fuck you want, but this is novice user you're talking about
>>
>>59677563
Mint carries all of Ubuntu's design flaws and adds shitty security on top of that
>>
>>59677617
been using it after fedora 20 came out and never had a problem with anything until recent releases and i'll migrate soon
>>
>>59676904
why? thinking of installing it. not quite a beginner but close.
>>
>>59677962
Unstable
Incompetent developers
Based on Arch without actually using the Arch repo
>>

>deal with Ubuntu
In what way?
>>
>>59676969
