What current technology trends do you hate?
>picture-frame-stand design of 2-in-1s
>chiclet/island-style keyboards
>giant fucking trackpads that take up half the space
>non-removable batteries
>DRM protection embedded in the CPU
>replacing all ports with wireless connectivity so users do not have a choice
>NSA/CIA backdoors as a feature
>1366x768 on anything larger than a 7-inch screen
(((Smart))) phones

>thin shit that makes battery life bad
>locked down software and hardware
>no expandable storage
>cheaply glued and soldered to prevent repairs
>can't upgrade ram or hard drives
>stupid cheap aluminum that bends if you hold it wrong
>meme cameras that stick out of the back of the device
>unlimited data plans cost your first born male child and your immortal soul
touchscreen OSs
its gone too far.

Sounds like you hate Apple more than anything else.

>>can't upgrade ram or hard drives
This so much. Fucking smartphones and their snowflake hardware that makes every rom require hardware-specific builds. It's fucking ridiculous, why can't phone manufacturers just make a standard hardware interface and fucking stick to it? It was done for pc, and pcs are way more complex.
>>meme cameras that stick out of the back of the device
both the person that came up with this design trend and the people that like it deserve to be shot. Honestly wtf were they thinking? If I wanted my lens scratched in 3 days I'd stick it in a pocket with my keys. Nothing screams "I'm a fucking idiot" like making the camera bulge out of the admittedly undersized phone that leaves no room for proper embedding, which is another fucking ridiculous trend.

Web apps masquerading as desktop applications.
The people behind Electron need to be fucking shot.
>tablets
>the industry standard VGA port being replaced with 6 million different special snowflake ports
>touchscreens
>CIA niggers
>Google aka The Circle taking control of your life
I hate that corporations have to cater to plebs and their demands, thus draining any actual quality from products they make
Technology should be reserved for the aristocracy

the problem is that for the vast majority of lens designs, the z height of the lens configuration is a ramification of increasing aperture/sensor size ratio while keeping a specific focal length. The answer is not to make the phone so stupidly thin, so it doesn't matter in the first place but Apple are no longer capable of of reasoning out a design problem by changing their objectives.
If the iPhone were 1.5x as thick (which would still be thinner than the iPhone 4) it could probably increase the light gathering of the lens and/or sensor area by a stop if not more.
Windows on cases. Fuck off with that shit already.

I actually like the idea of the hump on the charge case, it gives you a better grip I feel like.

Never used in a 2in1 unless your mom counts ;)

god that bulky useless vga had to go. also there is only mDP. rest is pretty much gamer bait.
Capitalism.
>Calling software "apps" or "applications"
Cell phones, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, tablets in most cases, flat UI, garbage software design simply because computers are fast enough that inefficiency is no longer prohibitively expensive.
Flat UI.
People in general.
At my core I think I hate pretty much everything about everything.

"Applications" is fine, "apps" can go die in a fucking housefire.
