This combo continues to block everything I need them to block. Is there any real reason I should use alternatives?
>>
>>59659013
Because abp lets ads through

Yes.

Ublock doesn't have paid adblock-removal like ABP does. Dumb ass.

ABP collects data you dipshit and allows companies to pay them to bypass the block.

Fucking kys.

You're probably a Winshit user too.

Literally die.

The non-intrusive option? Meh, it's off by default anyway. If they ever force it on us, I'll toss ABP for sure.

I don't like how uBlock is writting to it's database every 4 minutes (read only attributes fixes that). Other than that it is a sound ad blocker.

Is ublock origin and umatrix the same kind of add-on or do they do different things?

Ublock Origin is pretty much a replacement for Adblock Plus while Umatrix is like a replacement for NoScript

what do you do when a site detects your ad block and covers the whole screen?

And is >>59659171 an actual issue or does it not really matter?
>>
>>59659013
best combination:
- firefox
- ublock origin
- disconnect
- noscript
>>
>>59659076
I've heard of this happening on more than one occasion. What's the deal?
>>
>>59659414
It's an issue for me as I want to disable the writing.

It is simply updating the 'filters hit' count that you can't disable without deleting the database and starting again. You can disable this is ABP. I stick with uBlock though.
>>
>>59659416
You don't need to use Disconnect if you already use uBlock Origin you fucking retard.
>>
>>59659459
>>59659076
Using Ublock. Not Ublock origin.
>>

get aids you cockend
>>
uMatrix or NoScript?
And which one is lighter?
>>
>>59663581
noscript is lighter/simpler. umatrix is much better, more control. ex, you can block js from specific domains, frames from another, xhr from another. per site.

i use ublock origin too, because some ads can sneak by.
>>
>>59659465
how do you disable it? spoon feed me pls
>>
Is there a noscript alternative for vivaldi?
>>
all noscript does is break sites
>>
>>59664457
>all noscript does is break sites
Goes to show how many sites depend on javascript for everything. If a site can't display some text and images without requiring my computer to execute hundreds of lines of code from 5 different domains I've never heard of, I'd rather just not use the site.
>>
>>59664457
Only if you're literally retarded. Stop using shit sites, dumbfuck.
>>
>>59659013
Just use Umatrix,it blocks more than just JS.Also use UblockOrigin instead.
>>
>>59663988
Umatrix
>>
>>59659459
ublock defaults to not blocking cosmetic ads for performance reasons
>>
>>59659210
It's because she keeps losing and gaining weight constantly.

Works fine. Don't be retarded and configure it right. It's so easy you fucking moron.
>>
>>59659013
Get Self-Destructing Cookies if you use Firefox. Turn notifications off on it if you set it to clear often or it'll get annoying.

>>59659028
This is wrong though. I haven't seen an ad in years in my browser with ABP.

>>59659099
>ABP collects data
No it doesn't.

>allows companies to pay them to bypass the block.
This is also wrong, otherwise I'd be seeing ads.

>>59664457
No, a lack of JS causes the sites no to render properly. As >>59664606 said, it's probably best not to use those sites.

>>59665321
>>Win10
>>chrome
You're correct there.
>>abp
But this is wrong. ABP is good.
>>
>>59659720
also people dont use the "advanced" setting on Ubo which is superior in every way than the right out of the box version
>>
>>59664606
>>59664661
The web as a platform has been moving away from static pages for over a decade. Blindly blocking all javascript is both foolish and impractical for any application of modern web technology. Perhaps if your browsing habits consisted of visiting sites outside of imageboards and boorus you wouldn't be such naive noscript evangelists.
>>
>>59666566
>Blindly blocking all javascript is both foolish and impractical for any application of modern web technology
Wrong, it tells me which sites are shit. If you grew up playing Runescape you would know just how terrible javascript and cancerous web content can be.
>>
>>59659013
Use ublock origin not abp. They sell whitelists to advertisers lel
>>
>>59659013
>noscript
websites are 99% javascript today, of course it blocks everything
>>
Networking works in Push - Pull

The web is a Pull medium

I choose not to request ads by not having them listed in my DNS whitelist.
>>
90% of people confuse the highly invasive BOTNET adblock plus for the legit noninvasive adblock. People on /g/ can't be this retarded to mix them up.
