If I want to try open-backs, what path to take after owning and loving the Beyerdynamic DT770 80ohm? I don't want to upgrade/sidegrade just yet, I love what I currently have, just that I'd like to try open back in the future and want to stay on a lookout. Budget is max about $250 (incl. Amp/dac, which would likely be the E10k)

For more of that v-shaped sound signature, DT 990s. If you want a more neutral experience but want to keep your bass, DT 880s. If you want soundstage or want more bass than treble, then Fidelio X2s.

Compared to DT 770s, they are more mid-focused headphones. Less bass and less treble; barely any bass, but can be there if you manage to get a proper seal.
