What's the cheapest ryzen?
Will AMD even bother to compete with the G4560 or will that continue to be the king of poorfag value PCs?

Bump. maybe one of the fx chips from a older gen once ryzen 3 comes out?
wonder if she can read what her shirt says
her eyes just shine intelligence

Fx 8 cores should be pretty cheap soon but I'd rather AM4 to be honest.
Also any updates on APUs?
>>59651688
APU chops probably.
Honestly I'm not sure what the point of the R3 and lower R5s are. The CCX crosstalk issue means a single CCX APU will outperform them, while having an IGP on the same socket. Maybe they'll be cheaper?
Back before this the FX 4300 justified it's existence by having L3 cache, none of the APUs did, but Ryzen sticks the L3 cache right inbetween the cores. Can't cut it.

No way amd will recover from this. Top line r7 is btfo by i7, r5 is DOA and will be btfo by i5 and even i3, and even r3 can't even compete with PENTIUM in both price and performance. AMD, what a joke.

FX is obsolete and dead af.

What?
>>59652871
What a bait
>>59651688
Waiting for a Zen APU here for my telly.

What?
>>59651688
Ryzen 3 will theoretically exist at some point soon, but it's hard to see what AMD can do besides cut SMT support from the R5 1400. (4c8t, 3.2/3.4GHz, 8MB L3, $170)
True poorfags are probably better off looking into Raven Ridge APUs (4c??t) to avoid buying discrete GPUs.

G4560 is only like 50 bucks though
>>59656472
Zeppelin dies are just too big to profitably sell with 2 or 3 cores enabled, nor frankly are there probably enough sufficiently defective samples manufactured.
>>59656560
Could they not create a separate low end line of processors to compete with Pentium?
>>59656710
they could, but it's a lot of validation time and expense for a low margin and probably low volume part.
>>59656047
APUs will definitely put some hurt on, especially if they bring back dual graphics mode. APU + GPU is a pretty killer combo.
>>59656908
I don't really care about dual graphics mode, but I would really love to be able to run a discrete GPU in pass-through virtualized mode and have the output piped over PCIe to the host OS APU and have the content rendered to a window.
