I'm assuming most of you have/are studied/studying CS, how much time do you devote to work in a week, that includes lectures, labs, homework and projets.
As little as it takes because I'm never gonna use this shit

*8 hrs a day is all you need if you have a schedule and stick to it, the problem is everybody puts it off until last minute or does stupid things like try and memorize shit.
One exception is an Operating Systems course, because you have to do it in a group and those projects always take up a ton of time because either your group is retards, late, slackers, or you have to be their TA and instruct them while at the same time trying to finish your microkernel. Sadly you can't pick your group and get assigned into it so that class will eat up a ton, ton of time I recommend you skip it and just teach yourself from a Tanenbaum book on the side.

Disgusting curly brace placement.

I have to agree on the group project part, as of right now, theres either a super 'motivated' dude who never actually shows up to any meeting, a guy who dropped out, and a legitimate autist who needs help writing a fizzbuzz script

There was a guy in my group who had made it all the way to the OS course (typically 3rd year) without ever learning to program. He quite literally cut+paste from Stack Exchange and whatever else he could google, or paid other people to do his work.
Of course there was absolutely no point in us bringing this up, we'd just fail too for not completing the project so did his work too. He's probably at Google right now as a 'distinguished engineer'.

Maybe 25 solid hours a week. Thats nearly not enough when I think about it...

triggers me desu
Just booked next semester. 16 credit hours of classes for lectures. Homework will be 10-12 hours minimum, and my thesis will take up another 5-10 hours a week
>>59650178
Probably 20 hours a week for all my coursework. Graduated in 3 years with a 4.0 GPA. CS is a joke these days.

That's me

literally me

the uni I go to sometimes forgets to take down the last semesters material so for a brief moment their "lets roll out the material gradually over the semester" gets BTFO'd because I save it all, assignment pdf's, lecture slides, everything
Once all 4 of my subjects had this.
I tried 8 hours a day from mon-fri, had the entire semester done, I set alarms for the day-before-due dates to submit the assignments and basically spent the semester relaxing not knowing that I should have been networking and working on a portfolio.
I have no idea how people can struggle when they put in >2 hours a day, there's no excuse. 8 hours a day is overkill
>>59653116
It depends on your uni but 95% of the time this is true
