Not sure where to go for this but I figured you guys would be more knowledgable than shitheads at /mu/.
I'm looking for some of the best all in one stereo system from the 90's. I've got a pretty retro setup going on with a 36inch CRT and some old video game systems. I love the aesthetic of those hi-fi all in one systems and figure it's cheaper than getting some serious audiophile shit from the 90's. Also want to play some cassettes.
If you guys have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, if not then i guess I'll try my luck over with /mu/
>bonus points
get an aux so i can bluetooth enable the bitch.

I own this big thing and it works forever

I've got that Aiwa in the pic, and everything shitted on me at once. The CD disk-tray won't stop spinning, both cassette players just eats tapes, and I can't play with the bass setting or the 'sound boost.'
I really haven't had time to look in there so I just unplugged everything internally just to use the video setting to play music off my phone and walkman.
There are thousands of tutorials online how to fix every Aiwa problem though. If you're willing to learn how fix the minor technical issues here and there I'll recommend it. Though you could find something for a better price requiring less maintenance and better features.
I have pic related with matching 3 way speakers. but I believe they are actually 2 way and the tweeters are fake. they look nice tho.
I like this system but I don't have a decent FM antenna for the radio. Also casette decks belts' are shitty and I cannot find the correct ones for it.
I love how it looks and I used it mostly for its phono input for my turntable and the cd input for the laptop.
then I got another good(vintage german) amp and the all in one sits at the shelf atm. I wish casette deck worked good.
go for sony but search for cassette decks belt availability

nice but maybe too vintage for me. I would like cd functionality as well.

like?

This looks pretty neat.
service manuals seem widely available along with cd lasers and cassette belts. I dont mind having to tinker but it would be awesome to find something new in box. I'm sure it's not too much of a stretch.
Be ready to replace the drive belt on anything less than 1989

i had that same aiwa (or a similar model since i don't remember the buttons lighting up on mine), among other things i remember recording myself singing over the tracks of the cable guy soundtrack onto a cassette.

i had that aiwa.
it had aux in as well as digital out for my MD walkman.
the tape deck worked well but the cd tray got out of alignment, making it difficult for it to play cds.
