sisters desktop pc gpu just went dead, she told me that she was playing guild wars 2 and saw gray vertical lines and then suddenly screen went just black, she didn't overclock the card or has ever, card had a very light dust on it, 5 years and 4 days.

WHQL isn't beta, it means Windows Hardware Quality Labs tested, as in it passed Nvidia QA, then they paid Microsoft to test it and it passed their QA. Then it gets stuck on Windows Update itself.

Well, yeah that's shitty, but Microsoft seems more to blame if that's the case. I generally don't use windows update for video drivers so I missed out on that.
I more or less dislike AMD because every time I have owned one the performance was bad and they died in just over a year.
